Join us for a 1.5-hour online workshop we are running to share insights from the 2024 World Team Disc Golf Championship (WTDGC24).

This workshop is designed to provide practical takeaways for anyone interested in getting involved with or running larger disc golf events. Learn from some of the team behind WTDGC24 as they discuss key aspects of organising a global disc golf competition, including:
- Tournament Direction: Ken Summers (MDG President, Tournament Director) shares his experience managing a high-profile international event.
- Volunteer Coordination: Joanne McCamish (MDG Board, Volunteer Coordinator) discusses strategies for building and managing volunteer teams.
- Fundraising & Marketing: Sue Summers (Assistant Tournament Director) outlines approaches to securing funding and promoting events effectively.
- Local Event Coordination: Fleur Adams (Perth Hills Events) highlights how to leverage local resources and infrastructure.
This workshop is an opportunity to learn from experienced organisers and explore ways to strengthen the disc golf community in WA through running bigger and more publicly visible events. You will hear WTDGC24 event team members talk about wins and lessons from the first ‘world teams’ ever held in the southern hemisphere. We will have time for questions at the end.
Attendance is free but places are limited so registration is essential.
